Dayara Bugyal trek starts from 2600 meters to 3048 meters. A 9 km trek through the jungle and rhododendron trace leads to this ancient place. Dayara Bugyal has gained popularity in the past few years and attracts a large number of trekkers every year. Every year shepherds come to this place with their cattle in summer and continuing until early winter. In winter, grasslands turn into snow lands with the potential for skiing and snow activities.

Dayara Bugyal, located in the Uttarkashi district of Uttarakhand, it is situated at an altitude of 3048 meters above sea level. Located on Uttarkashi Gangotri Road, a place called Bhatwari leads to this beautiful meadow. To reach Dayara Bugyal, travelers have to reach the village of Barsu, which is the last village of Dayara Bugyal. Trekkers can easily reach here by vehicles. Trekking here has to cover a distance of about 8 kilometers.

This place offers spectacular Himalayan views. Tourists can also experience and enjoy camping facilities near the lake (Dayara Bugyal). There is also Dodital located at a distance of 30 km from Dayara Bugyal. Which is quite popular among trekkers.

Dayara Bugyal has beautiful grass forests, herds of trekking through vast grasslands. You can find many flocks of sheep here in the high hills. Which gives a feeling of beauty here.

Best time To Visit Dayara Bugyal Trek

April to June in summer and October to December in winter are considered to be the best time to visit Dayara Bugyal Trek.

In summer: the weather is mild; It is neither too cold nor too hot. During the summer season, peaks are visible. It is advisable to wear light woolen clothes.

In monsoon: The best time to go trekking is the best time yet, as there is a possibility of roads being blocked.

By Air: Jolly Grant Airport in Dehradun is the nearest Airport which is about 200 km from Uttarkashi. Bus and Taxi services are available from Dehradun airport to Uttarkashi.

By Train: Haridwar, Rishikesh, & Dehradun Railway Stations are the nearest railway stations to Uttarkashi which is around 200 km approx. From here one can take a Bus or Taxi to reach Uttarkashi.

By Road: State transport buses run regularly between Uttarkashi and Rishikesh/Dehradun. Buses of State Transport and of many local transport companies operate regularly between Uttarkashi and Dehradun (200 km), Haridwar (250 km). Dayara Bugyal is 30 Km by road from Uttarkashi to Bhatwari/Raithal.
