The Bali Pass trek is the most scenic and least searched trek and is also known as a virgin trek in the Indian Himalayas. Located at an elevation of 4950 meters perfect for experienced trekkers, this trek is a strenuous one. The best time to visit the Bali Pass trek is the summer months of May – June and after the monsoon months of September – October.

In Summers: The Bali Pass season is mild and pleasant during summers. The Himalayas are clearly visible and the cool breeze adds charm to the holiday.

Post-monsoon: The greenery of Bali Pass welcomes tourists to get lost in the forest of nature. Enjoy a sip of tea on the snow-capped peaks at the Bali Pass during the monsoon. Due to landslides roads are likely to be blocked for a few hours but the natural beauty of Bali Pass during monsoon is worth taking the risk. Carry raincoat is advised.

During the day, the temperature will be up to 5 to 15 ° C. Temperatures will be cooler from -2 to -5 ° C on nights. The higher you gain height, the colder it gets.

By Air: Jolly Grant Airport of Dehradun is the nearest airport to reach basecamp Sankri for this trek.

By Train: Dehradun is the nearest railway station. The railway station at Haridwar is also one of the other options nearby.

By Road: Sankari is well connected by roads with Uttarkashi (170 km), Mussoorie (180 km), and Dehradun (190 km).
